Answers:
1. How many heparin units are contained by 1mL? Then, you calculate dose ordered over dose on hand, multiplied by the volume.

DO/DH (mL)= 1350units/50units(mL)= 27mL/hr

2. Same question, different numbers. For every mL nearby is 0.4 units.

DO/DH(mL)= 7units/0.4units(mL)= 17.5mL/hr

You really need to learn these supporting algebraic concepts before you graduate nursing school. You DO NOT want to hit those floors and not know how to calculate key dosages for drugs. Stop using Y!A and learn the hard way. Source(s): Been nearby, done that; feel your pain. Just learn it.
