The coronary arteries are the arteries that supply blood TO the heart. I believe they originate from the base of the aorta and they supply blood to your heart. If one of them becomes completely blocked, thats when you're have unstable angina which leads to myocardial infraction.
The coronary arteries left and right arise from ostia at the root of the aorta above the level of the aortic spigot, In most people the right coronary artery (RCA) gives off the post descending artery (PDA). These empire are called right dominant. The left coronary gives sour the left circumflex(LCX) and left anterior descending artery (LAD). When the LCX
gives stale the PDA these people are called left dominant. The coronary arteries riddle in diastole when the aortic valve is closes and the pressure of the squeezing myocardium is off. The blood returns to the heart from the myocardium via the coronary vein to the coronary sinus which drains into the right atrium.
