Are antiulcers antibiotics?

I'm on Carafate, and they call it an antiulcer. I know ulcers are caused by microbes, is carafate an antibiotic?

yeah 90% of ulcers are caused by microbes, other causes are stress and excessive coffee consumption. it also depends on the type of ulcer you have...i assume you enjoy a duodonal ulcers right?
carafate is actually a sulphated disaccaride and it basically help ulcers heal by forming a protective coating over them.so no, its not an antibiotic,.
