Stopping Wellbutrin cold turkey?
I've been taking 300mg wellbutrin xl for a month or so (I started at 150mg a few weeks before that). Anyway it doesn't seem to be working so I'm getting past its sell-by date it. my doctor said it was ok to just stop cold turkey, but i've read the seizure threshold can be lowered and it's commonly not a smart thing to do. is it safe to go bad cold turkey?

Wellbutrin is not going to work right away. It takes weeks. So better not to stop it, but I consider you already did it.
it takes sometimes up to 6 wks to work. ego give it a try, it works great for me. but if you don't want to u can quit. but why no just keep taking it? u already remunerated for it. If u do stop, get on something else. lexapro is a good one too!
Many anti-depressants are "self tapering" meaning since it takes a long time to build up in your body it take a long time to leave the body. So there is no shock to your system. As for seizures, you hold to have a history of seizures for that to be possible.
