Please give support to finding % of Aspirin surrounded by a indication?

If I have an aspirin tablet that weighs 0.535 grams with a concentration of 0.000034 g/mL how can I find the % of aspirin surrounded by this trial? I pipeted 5.00 mL of a solution into a 10.0 mL flask for this trial.

Your question is just not right. Something is missing.
You can't have a tablet beside a concentration of x g/ml. g/ml implies that you have a solution. If I assume that you WANT the quantity of aspirin within the 5.00 ml of the 0.000034g/ml solution that you pipeted, it will make sense.

The 5.00 ml you pipetted will contain 0.000034 x 5 g =0.00017g of Acetylsalicilic Acid. If you put that in a 10.0ml flask and made it to volume(10.0ml), then the concentration will be the 0.00017g contained by 10ml of water(the capacity of the flask).

However, the concentration is expressed as amount of substance in grams per 100 mls of solution. So to get the percentage you do this:
0.00017 x10 divided by 100 g/ml to attain the concentration of Acetylsalisylic Acid solution in the 10.0ml flask, ie 0.0017% Source(s): I am a lecturer in Pharmaceutics.
