Under what circumstances can the heart be restarted once it have stopped?
Answers:
Restarting the heart requires the heart muscle being viable, at least partly alive. Almost nought else is a prerequisite. It can be seriously damaged and still restart, if there is part of the muscle beside the necessary "automaticity".. The brain being dead will not affect the heart smash.
Sometimes it can be restarted beating but it cannot be pumping adequately for itself, much less the rest of the body. Sometimes we can't describe that until we try.
