What GCSE subjects and grades do you inevitability to become a surgeon?
I would like to be a orthopedic surgeon or a cosmetic/reconstructive surgeon. I was wondering what subjects you need to be a surgeon and what grades you would want in the subjects?

To get into medicine, you inevitability at least 8 A* or A grades at GCSE level, that is what my college asked for earlier you started focusing on getting the A Level grades for getting into medicine. If you do not have that number, then you are already surrounded by trouble. Your average GCSE score across the board should be an A. So if you get A*s, A's and B's. You need matching number of A*'s as B's for you to stand a good chance. I have no theory why universities look at your GCSEs if you do well in A Levels, they purely do apparently.
Hopefully, your particularly high grades (unless you are a straight A* student) should be in the sciences and maths. Statistics also looks pretty virtuous as does English language. Other subjects are just an added bonus to show other brains as well as sciencey smarts.
You also call for a huge amount of work experience in health and social care sorts of things, a incalculable knowledge of all sorts of scientific research and stuff going on within the news at the moment. Plus a general good summary on interviewers and potential employers. It is a ridiculously difficult and competitive field to go contained by, and if you are not the best of the best, then you are in for a long hard struggle. you plainly need to get A for maths & science and above a C for english. thats all really.
