Already enjoy virtuous bite but want chin surgery for cosmetic reason to alter profile?

I have a good bite already but I do have a mid-facial protrusion and I would prefer if my maxillary profile be more retrognathic. My teeth are already meeting vertically as they should, though....so I imagine preparing my teeth for jaw surgery would be detrimental, creating chewing problems I own never had?

i know jaw surgery is performed for cosmetic reason all the time though for transgendered women but they are altering their mandibles to look less masculine. My affective needs are different.

My teeth aren't vertically aligned and the idea of breaking my jaw to align next frightens me enough to leave well ample alone. Everyone has an imperfection and if youre happy next to your teeth I wouldn't go messing around with your bone structure.
