if some item goes wrong animal will suffer or die not humans i think its cruel
It is unethical and probably evil to conduct medical experiments on humans without informed consent and any adverse consequences may result in huge lawsuits. If new drugs are used on the human population in need animal testing to determine toxicity and correct dose per body weight and beneficial results, any adverse reactions will result surrounded by huge lawsuits. It appears that without animal testing many human afflictions will not be challenge with new drugs. Nature and lawyers are rasping realities.
Drugs will not get approved by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) until they are first tested on animals to prove they will not be harmful to people. If a drug cause cancer on a rat chances are it would probably cause cancer to people. Insulin is a great example of conducting tests on animals as they used dogs for the tests .These dogs are the reasons insulin was developed & enjoy saved so many diabetics.Ethically it may not be right to do it but people are other "more important" than animals which are usually considered only as "property". You may consider your cat or dog a member of your family, but the state say it is only property legally. Sad. Source(s): NJ RN
