How much is a partially cc?
My vet gave me an oral solution for my cat that has an eye-dropper, but the eye dropper is not graduated. the eye dropper's diameter is approximately 2/3 that of a standard pale pencil, can you give me any idea on how to ballpark a half cc?
Answers:
partly a cc is equivalent to half a millimeter.
I assume the diameter measurement you gave is outside diameter, not inside diameter. Sounds approaching a standard tuberculin syringe. That being the case, my best estimate is about 3/8 inch. would equal roughly 1/2 cc. If you want to be positive and have a cooking measuring device that will measure out ounces, 30 cc = 1 ounce. From this you can nouns the syringe and fill the measuring cup with hose down to the 1 ounce mark. Divide 30 by the number of syringe fills it takes to cram the cup (e.g., 30/5) and that tells you how much the syringe holds. Estimate what 1 cc would be (e.g., if it holds 5 cc, make 5 marks on the barrel) and next 1/2 cc.
