People taking alot of pills, behavior?

my cousin, looks like she falls asleep while talking, isn't in the conversation at times, and discussions constantly, what kind of pills could she be taking?
Answers:
Hi,

If she is on drugs, then it is most likely a downer, similar to an opiate, sedative, tranquilizer, or some form of benzodiazepine. She could also be using narcotics like heroin.

Usually when people nose-dive asleep while talking it's from an opiate, but not always. This is a very adjectives behavior for opiate users, called "nodding out." Opiates besides heroin, include Vicodin, Oxycontin, Morphine, and Demerol. Any type of narcotic painkiller would do it too.

You may want to call her on it contained by a kind and gentle way short making her feel guilty. Just let her know you're aware of it, and that her behavior is concerning. If she's addicted to drugs, she may get angry but at lowest letting her know that you know might be helpful in the future if she ever wishes to seek drug treatment.

Good luck! Source(s): I'm an addictions counselor.
