Are anadin extra tablets a complete con? (more adjectives info than a question)?
basically, i was in tesco today, and i be looking for painkillers. so in the drug section i saw anadin extra's (which is just what i've other used) and picked them up. as i did i decided to look at the back at the ingrediants and found that it was literally only 300mg of aspirin, 200mg of paracetamol, and 45mg of caffeine. intrugued by this, i saw something else on the shelf right next to it: 'tesco extra power pain reliever'. i looked at the ingrediants on this one, and they were exactly equal, down to the last milligram.
so could anyone please explain to me why a box of 16 anadin extra tablets cost nearly 3.00, but the same stuff in a tesco's box costs simply 45p?
is this just anadin completely conning us as customers? please someone explain this to me, or just comment. i'm just trying to update everyone that it seems alot cheaper to buy the tesco ones. :) thanks

Yes it is a con.
Only today I heard a guy surrounded by the supermaket say he was buying the decent ones of paracetamol when I know the supermarket brand ones next to exactly the same igredients work the same.
The only difference might be if one dissolved faster contained by your stomach to get the stuff into your system faster.
Personally I have not bought branded products for years with the exception that I judge liquid capsule ibuprofen orks faster than tablets and when there is individual branded versions of it available then that has to win.
The difference contained by price is to do with the initial research (Tesco only copies after a certin period when it is allowed to do so) and the selling.
It's almost always cheaper to buy the store brand/generic version of a drug.
