Increase the dosage of medication?

I've currently been taking oxycodone 5/325 tablets for almost a year now. For the past few days it hasn't be as effective, and I've been in closely of pain. Could my body be used to that dosage so quickly?

Second question: My stock up is up in a few days....Should I ask for an increase of the 7/500 tabs since the other isnt effective really at adjectives?
Answers:
i'm assuming you are taking oxycodone/acetamiopehn 5/325... this should not be used as long term treatment, but instead as short term treatment for breakthrough pain. enjoy you talked to your MD about being but on a oxycodone CR, and afterwards only used the oxycodone/acetaminophen when needed?

there is no such thing as 7/500. here is 7.5/325 and 7.5/500... it is really up to your doc to make the swtch. talk to him, see what he thinks... you shouldn't asking for answers on the internet, you should be asking your MD...
Only a doctor can increase the dose and it sounds approaching you are already dependent on them.If they don't kill the pain you need to try something else.Maybe another spasm killer, more affective and less addictive. One year is not a short time when we are discussion about pain killers, what are you taking them for?Maybe it's time you give notice them alone. It will just leave you wanting more.Ask your doctor for help.Don't move about drug seeking with these doctors or they will put you in rehab-or jail.Try doing near out them.It will be hard at first but if you are not addicted to them it should not bother you.
