How do I know if I'm poor iron surrounded by my blood?
So one day when I was shopping with my mom, my fastener started to flake off. Then, when I was removing the bits from my nail, I realize I could pull the whole thing bad.
My mom said that I was lacking iron. To be honest, I think I'm undersupplied calcium because my nails are made up of calcium (good old science class taught me that. still abhorrence the blasted subject, but it teaches you some useful crap).
Thing is, I have at lowest possible one glass of milk every week (I have a weakness for choco chip cookies).
Do you know what's possibly wrong beside me? Is my mom right, because she's usually right about other stuff?

Test your thyroid. Test for iron deficiency (anemia). And test for calcium negative amount. Go to your doctor. An overall blood test will check for all of these things. Good luck. :)
There are lots of potential cause (have you considered seeing a doctor?). Iron deficiency IS one possible problem. Calcium deficiency is another but it seems you acquire a fair amount of calcium. Nail infections, exposure to harsh chemcials (such as cleaning products) can also cause it. Could also be a thyroid lesser amount.

low iron could be a factor......one way you can find out for free without going to a doctor would be to stir give blood....they won't tell you what your levels are but they will make clear to you if it is low......some things that you could do are to cook with iron pots (sounds weird, i know but it actually does help), devour things like liver, spinach, and other leafy vegetables.....you can also buy over the counter iron supplements, folic acid, and b-12 to help boost your level......symptoms of low iron (depending on how low) may vary from anything like feeling tired adjectives the time, paleness in your complexion, cravings to eat things close to (again this is weird) dirt, clay, pottery, or ice (ice is my downfall).....i have been anemic for going on for 17 years now and although most cases can be controlled and the iron levels can be kept at normal this is not something you want to play around near.....anemia can range from mild to severe (my case is severe) and even though it is not common anemia can be cruel.......i have had about 5 blood transfusions and 2 iron infusions over the 17 years i own had this condition......i take a self-injected b-12 shot once a month and will have to verbs to do so for the rest of my life......as for the calcium issue, you could try to have at least 1 cup of milk a DAY to see if this helps.....otherwise, talk with your doctor
