A quiz for doctors almost immunology?

Hi!, I'm a mexican medical student and i often hear the people saying "i assume the abrupt temperature change made me sick" (or something resembling that, my english isn't very good)

Is that true? if it is, what's the mechanism?
Answers:
I am not a doctor but I know that temperature change can cause nausea.
The cold weather does not cause infections independent of other factors.
Viruses are commonly more prevelant in winter time because people are cooped up together sharing germs.
GOOD LUCK.
