Because I don wanna damage their effect...
Answers:
It depends on the tablet. For some yes, for others no. Generally speaking, if a tablet is scored, after it's OK to break, and if there is any sort of time-release mechanism, damaging the tablet will wreak it to fail and release too much drug too fast.
Other than that, it just vary by the medication.
Basically, if the pill is divided it means that producers allow to break it and both halves contain the same amount of drug.
If the tablet doesn't enjoy a notch then it must be swallowed in one piece.
Also, don't divide capsule and SR forms of tablets as it may damage the way it's resolving.
sometimes it's okay, other times it's not.
you really have to ask the doctor or druggist.

as i said, you really need to ask the druggist just about those specific pills.
i have some that look ordinary, but cannot be broken.
If it is a Tablet, it should work the same broken or whole. However, I would take advice breaking capsules, as some may contain liquid or a carefully measured dosage of medication. But standard tablets should be fine to break, as long as you ingest all the pieces at once.
I have to do some research to find out the American equivalents, but it looks like CONAZ is an Egyptian brand of ketoconazole. All of the oral tablets of ketoconazole that I found are scored (they have a file etched on them) and it should be fine to break in half and take that road.

DROTAZIDE appears to be a capsule, if this capsule is filled near smaller round "pellets" then it is usually ok to open the capsule and sprinkle the contents on something similar to applesauce and eat it that way.

They main things that you don't want to break are anything that is to say sustained or delayed released. Also you dont want to break liquid filled capsules or tablets that are layered (they almost look resembling a sandwhich). Allegra D is a good example of a layered tablet.

So, from what I could find it would be ok to break the CONAZ and the drotazide is probably ok as long as it has pellets contained by it (not powder or liquid though). Source(s): pharmacy student
the only effect would settlement with the coating on the outside to control the amount being released with respect to time. Usually it is not a problem though.
