Liver disfavour from Nyquil..Afraid....?
I have been taking nyquil now for former times month to help me get to sleep. I usually take partly a cup which is 500 mg of acetamenophen. Now I am scared that I may have damaged my liver...
Do you guys come up with that I should be worried? Or is liver damage more long term? Will I be ok if I stop taking the nyquil from now on? I don't drink alcohol, and I dont hold any other drugs that could damage my liver, just nyquil every night...
Thanks for your aid!

i'm no pharmist but i use to take Nyquil to sleep becasue it helps me too. now for a month straight use. No is the answer. that would be more of a long residence use. :)
I hope you mean a partly of the cup that Nyquil provides not a half cup (4oz).
I would stop taking the Nyquil. I think acetaminophen is really bad for you.
There are some pretty moral Rx's out there that don't seem to be addictive although they may be habit forming. I recurrently use the generic for Ambian.
500mg of acetaminophen daily will not cause any long term liver disfavour. No need to worry. Source(s): Pharmacist
Well, I'm not a pharmacist, but maybe you should get a sleep med - Let Nyquil be used for what Nyquil is for.
Either OTC or Rx.
