Is it true once a human lead is decapitated that for 14 second their is still brain flurry?

In my world history class we are talking about the French Revolution. My teacher said when empire were getting thier heads chopped off that the undertaker would give somebody a lift the head and show it to the crowd. sure thats all fine and dandy..but he also said after the head have removed the head still had brain activity for 14 second. He said the heads could blink, move thier mouths, and talk.

I think this is whack! but is it possoble? did it surface?

HA.ha.ha! As much as talk? C'mon.
Sure...I'm not sure if there is a 14 second role but the head could still be alive. It desires bloods to circulate so decapitated you would bleed out pretty quick. Plus most people would go into shock/unconsciousness right away. But it could arise. Creepy if the eyes are still looking around!
The brain activity may go on for longer than 14 seconds. It may bring minutes for the effects of hypoxia to kill all the brain cells, but whether the entity is conscious or not is a different matter. The trauma of having your head cut bad and the immediate decrease in perfusion pressure would almost definitely make the person unconscious. Whether near may be reflex activity of the facial muscles may not be an indication of consciousness. I would find it extremely hard to believe that a severed head could collaborate. There is no connection to the larynx and exhalation of air is not under voluntary control. The reflex movement of the chin and muscles of facial expression may also not be under voluntary control.
