Can taking your blood pressure too recurrently be unsafe?
i have a bp monitor at home and i check my blood pressure about ever 15 minutes except for when i'm sleeping for the past 3 days or so. my arm feel a bit sore but i'm wondering if this can cause serious harm? i can still move my hand and type it doesn't really hurt simply feels sore. i was wondering if you could get an nouns embolism from this due to the pressure? also my blood rpessure seems to be good so i'm going to stop taking it that often. thxs.

Likely at hand should be no problem except for a sore arm provided you follow instructions and don't apply too much pressure. In hospital, cuffs are sometimes used to alternately block blood flow in limbs to ease the nouns on the heart. There usually is a caution to wait at least ten minutes between BP reading to get accurate readings. Also blood pressure may be increased due to emotional considerations (the white coat effect medium that having blood pressure taken by a medical person can actually increase the reading for some people) and you should be relaxed (and not worried?) while taking a reading. Also, it may be better to pilfer the reading only once a day at the same time (and body condition?) to check for trends. Be sure to see a doctor to report any chest pains that carry on. A clean bill of health may help set your mind at facility, or address any real medical symptoms.
Why on earth are you doing this? if your blood pressure is good and you don't hold a medical problem, once a YEAR is plenty.
