How do/did you study for the MCAT?

Just curious.
Answers:
My daughter took a course specifically to study for the MCAT. It be rather expensive but she scored really high. I assume you are within college so ask your adviser.
I took the old MCAT back in the 70's. My method be that I said "To hell with it" and got rip-roaring drunk the night since, and had a hair of the dog before the testing. I figured about 150 semester hours of college work either have me prepared or it didn't, and my major problem would be test anxiety. No practice tests, no hitting paperwork. The same system worked for FLEX and specialty boards later, and especially well for the last.
I took the MCAT two years ago. I went pretty overboard when it came to studying, though. I took the Kaplan and Princeton Review, I studied 3-4 hours every night two months previously the exam, and I was pretty much a master of the material by the time the test come around. I was in the 98th percentile, but dammit I better have be from what I spent studying for it, haha.
Books and practice tests. Worked for me. Your mileage may vary. Source(s): Took the MCAT contained by the early 80's
