Answers:
Try using a search engine to look up "(insert drug name here) prescribing information" or "(insert drug name here) appliance of action."
You can try several online sources, including NIDA (national institute on drug abuse) to swot up about neuroscience and drug actions. The most readable book on the subject is: "Drugs, The Brain and Behavior: The Pharmacology of Abuse and Dependence", published by Haworth Medical Press. Very accurate but not difficult to read. It was an immensely successful book but the publishing company was sold off so it's now out of print, but available on Amazon.com. It explains how the brain works and how different types of drugs affect the brain to affect behavior. Source(s): I am a forensic psychopharmacologist and qualified neuropharmacology for 20 years.
Or, try looking up some info on this site, http://www.mentalhealth.com/. Source(s): A search engine, also...
Plenty of info. on the internet. Try healthfinder.org . Good luck. Source(s): Me.
