You must have Rh negative blood type. Google "erythroblastosis fetalis" to see what it avoids.
Simply put you are Rh Negative. Your little one could be Rh negative or positive. That is why at 28 Weeks you would receive a dose and after birth if the baby is Rh positive. This is done for two reasons...if you enjoy an antibody to the baby's Rh positive blood you won't cause the baby any harm, or if you don't hold antibodies against positive blood giving Rhogam will prevent you from making any. It's hard to understand but hopefully this will help ;) Source(s): Medical Technologist....I setup Rhogam injections for patients.
even though u had the children the blood mix isnt right conceivably you are blood type b- and the children are + read this easy to understand leaflet

This is the executive site of Rhogam which is the injection you received. It will explain the reason you needed the injection. Source(s): PA
Because we adjectives are either type positive or type negative and if the baby don't mix next to the moms type then your antibodies will see the baby as a foreign object and attack it and the babies will Attack you also.
if yr blood group is different from the babies after its born u can develop antibodies that would reject any adjectives baby causing miscarriage.. the injection of Anti D stops this
