How can I incorporate science into this....?

I have an essay to wrote about:

"How can the ways of knowing (language, perception, reason, emotion) give support to us distinguish between what 'is true' and what 'is believed to be true'?"

We have to use these ways of knowing (language, perception, reason, emotion), incorporating them into examples within subject areas such as history, art, and science, and later relate them back to the essay question.

I used science as an example but I need things to address about within...like little examples here and nearby
