Complications beside an MRI?

My dad has had ringing in his ears/tinnitus since he have an MRI two years ago. He spoke to a doctor who said that it wasn't possible because he knows thousands of people who have have MRIs and have had no complications.

I'm wondering if anyone has have any complications related to an MRI or if you could think of any way that this would be possible?

Thanks!
Answers:
the hearing protection should hold prevented any problems. have your dad speak to an ENT and audiologist. the tinnitus may be completely unrelated.
