Acne cleanser quiz?

Every time I use benzoyl peroxide, it causes lightening in my skin. Even pro-activ which has 2% lightens my skin soooo much!! When the dermatologist give me benzoyl peroxide 7% I went from being brown skinned to white! It made me look ugly.
So I'm thinking something like salicylic acid now. The over the counter products I use like Biore contains 2% salicylic tart and doesnt do much for my acne but makes my skin look pretty. Should I get 7% salicylic acid or something sophisticated?

You can use a higher strength of the salicylic acid cleanser, but it may be drying. make sure to use an oil-free moisturizer beside it and sunscreen too! All of these may cause sun sensitivity.
