Would the drug ciproflaxin be a perfect antibiotic for a sinus infection?

Answers:
Not at all. Doesn't cover the usual bacterial culprits.
No, cipro has very right gram negative coverage, but it's actually fairly lousy for gram positives, which are the usual suspects contained by a sinus infection (mind you, not all sinusitis needs antibiotics, see your doctor). Plus a quinolone (even one with worthy gram positive coverage, of which there are several) is overkill for that, all you really need is a penicillin derivative.
