I am doing an interview for my spanish project, and i need a few questions answered. also, if you have any other tid bits of information you would approaching to throw out, feel free!! (im curious!!)
1.what are your hours?
2.do you work part/full time?
3.what is your salary (or the starting salary)
4.what are the benefits?
5.is it stressful?
6.where do you work? (like the building.. for my cover message portion)
7.do you enjoy your job?

Hi, I'm a general surgeon and I'd be happy to give support to with your project. Keep in mind there are different types of doctors so the answers will clearly vary.
1. Surgeons don't have specific hours that they work, they have patients and cases that they work near. Each case differs in length; anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. Not only do they hold to do surgeries, but they must make rounds on the patients they've seen, do consultations with other doctors, and pinch call during certain parts of the month. These things are for certain, but if something go wrong with one of your patients while they are staying in the hospital, the nurses will notify you (sometimes at 3 in the morning) and you might hold to go in to help.
2. Surgeons work full time.
3. The average net for a general surgeon is between 200k and 350k. I make 300k.
4. Any surgeon will tell you that the greatest benefit of their commission is making any patient better. Whether it's sewing up a cut on a child or doing a heart transplant, seeing a successful surgery where the patient make it through is the most rewarding part.
5. Of course being a doctor is extremely stressful. A life is within your hands. However, it is all up to what the person believes to see if they presume that this pressure outweighs the benefit of saving that life.
6. I'm not sure if you need the specific nickname of the hospital or just the fact that I work in a hospital.
7. I savour every day of my job and I do not regret becoming a surgeon. There is nothing else that I would a bit be.
1. I work various shifts throughout the week, either 4 or 8 hour shifts
2. I work part time, within an urgent care clinic attached to our local children's hospital
3. Salary: I started at $60K for 24 hours a week (base salary of $100K for full time)
4. Benefits: I am able to be home for my children, and I don't lift call. When I'm not in the office, I'm unreachable and that's okay.
(And the downside? I don't engender a lot of money, I don't see a lot of interesting medical problems, I deal beside people who believe their medical care is free and therefore don't effectiveness it and therefore don't value me and my time)

7. I wallow in my job about 80% of the time
