Why would someone NOT want to be an organ donor?

I mean, maybe privacy or religion? I just don't see a rationale to not give the chance of life to others?
Answers:
Maybe the donor is elder,or their poor health would not benefit donee. Source(s): personal belief
believe it or not, some society believe their body to be sacred. removing organs could be against religion or cultural beliefs. just with lots other controversial topics out there, religion is a major factor. it is not logical to focus only on the point that they will liberate someones life, because thats not how the world works. its never as simple as the monosyllabic answers already provided. a lot of cultures and religions believe that the dead body is blessed and should be treated as such.

and yes, i am a registered organ donor, i just understand why some people prefer their bodies not to be hack into a million pieces.
i hold no idea
No good reason.
some populace may be really scared of surgery, or they have other conditions, mentally or physically, that cause them from not doing it.
wow, you're smart Dave
If someone have a disease like HIV, Hep B, or Hep C, then these can be transmitted with their organs.
