How do doctors do blood test?

When Doctors go and take a blood test, do they hold to be looking for anything specific...or do they just look for any abnormalies in ur blood, and go into them deeper?
Answers:
Both. Some test are very general, others are very specific.
Either or both. Often only just general screening tests are done with no specific diagnosis surrounded by mind, but sometimes if a doctor is considering a disease, he will order specific tests to give him further evidence to serve confirm or reject the diagnosis.
