Medical ... self surgery ... type of fluid enquiry?
okay this is minimal self surgery for me, I am a little more in favor of it than most people. I'm other very careful... this was a rugged mass in my lower lip. it was about 1 cm surrounded by diameter and spherical.
So I bought a scalpel and made a small incision.
Now it didn't drain immediately... there was no blood.
I believe i come up with that it was a mucocele from the internet.
I squeezed it as to pop it, but it didn't need popping because I know that the scalpel made it surrounded by.
the fluid came out and formed a sphere.
]it wasn't excised. this was the fluid forming a ball..
i tried to blot it beside a tissue and the tissue only picked up saliva around the sphere and stuck to the sphere when I pulled it away there was no fluid on the tissue and the globe was still intact.
I dipped my finger in alcohol for a few seconds... and pulled it out of my lip, it pulled some more next to it, but I had to repeat this process until I drew blood.
now the ball seem to have shrunk and is healing from what I can tell.
but what the hell be this fluid?
it was an extremely viscous straw colored fluid with the consistency of well I guess semi hardened mucous.
Answers:
you really shouldn't be scalpeling yourself, but since you already enjoy...it sounds just like pus, to me. Pus is really just a grouping of inert white blood cells that have killed rotten the bacteria that somehow made it into your flesh. Usually your body will rid itself of the pus, but you seemed to have a moment ago sped it along by puncturing your skin. Keep rinsing your mouth with hydrogen peroxide (don't swallow it!) and hope for the best!
