Does Propofol really inflict sexual dreams?
Answers:
"Propofol is also an aphrodisiac and is known to cause vivid and sexual dreams."
Versus:
"However, despite the large number of armour reports of sexual imagery following propofol anaesthesia and despite the two groups who had received propofol experiencing significantly greater happiness upon retrieval than the thiopentone group, there were no appreciable differences in the sexual content of the dreams."

There is evidence beyond those two sources that support both sides of the view. I cannot find one definitive answer. Sorry! Source(s): First quote: Source: Pages 207-208 of Practical Guide to Moderate Sedation/Analgesia by Jan Odom-Forren and Donna Watson
