16 & Female - taking St.Johns Wort depression medication only once a daylight?

My great aunt is dieing, she has at most 6 months, she's going down hill fast, and I cry everytime I imagine of her. So, I'm in highschool, and I can't afford to be missing school because of this, so I've had these pills, St. Johns Wort, and its mild depression sort of medication, not intense, and it say to take it three times a day with food, for 4 weeks to be decisive. I was wondering if I could take 1 a day instead, because it's expensive and I don't want my mom to hold to get it alot; she is upset 24/7 because of the situation. Thanks guys.

Such a low dose will probably not work. Lots of places stock St John's Wort, including supermarkets so your mum could probably save money by shopping around.
