Why do I hold more zest at hours of darkness after during the hours of daylight?

It's strange really. No matter how long I try to force a normal schedule on myself, I other find that I can't go to sleep, wake up in the darkness, and am tired throughout the day.

On top of that, I get a huge rush of energy surrounded by the late evening, and by the time I need to go to sleep, specifically the LAST thing I want to do. I am also much more alert at night, and am slightly photo-phobic (aversion to light)

Is there a medical condition that fits this?

NOTE: No, I don't believe surrounded by vampires, an NO, I have not even SEEN the movie Twilight. I'm looking for something real and with proven medical science to hindmost it up.

your body does adapt to sleeping patterns, and if you have be nocturnal in your life (ie studying at night, going out at hours of darkness, watching tv late into the night) you will naturally sleep late and rouse up late, meaning your more awake during the night. to convert it put a bet on, it is a horrible process in which you will always feel tired during the daylight and awake at night. try staying awake all day, every time, and eventually your body clock should shift so you always fall asleep earlier and rouse up earlier, meaning you are awake during the day. exercise help, doing your work during the day should help, not watching tv at night etc.

within terms of illness causing this, the simply thing that comes to mind is depression...are you depressed? other than that its common for plentiful people to have horrible sleeping habits.
My assessment would be either because you are not getting around 6 - 8 hrs of rest or you are not getting the R.E.M. sleep your body needs to repair with. Try sleeping a bit longer if possible, go to bed earlier. Wake up for a time earlier and go to bed earlier instead of staying up then and waking up early.
