Puked blood after taking codeine?
i took codeine yesterday for the hundredth time and i ate some ribs, and after sitting for a while i felt i had to puke so i puked up all the ribs, next i puked up a little blood, and no it wasnt blood from ribs.
what does this meen??

Its not from codeine, is this a acetaminophen/codeine combination?, if so you might have a dying liver from acetaminophen overdose.
well, near might be a bleed in your stomach and if your puke up anymore blood then you really need to budge to the hospital

You could have developed an allergy to the codeine. This is a serious side effect from the drug, not a common one, but is one none the smaller number. You can take the same drug for years and years and then soon wake up and be allergic to it. This is a possibility. If it was a one time thing, after don't worry too much about it. If this continues then shift to the ER. I wouldn't take codeine anymore until you find out what's going on. Did you have difficulty breathing? Or any other signs of allergic reaction? I construe either way you should be seen by a doctor, puking blood isn't a pious thing.
Add: You should see a doctor. You could have a perforated swelling and maybe the bbq sauce from the ribs plus the codeine aggravated it. I am no doctor though. Not even close. This is just an opinion. My grandmother have a ruptured ulcer and she vomited blood and ended up having surgery to repair it. The codeine may hold absolutely nothing to do with it at adjectives and then again, it could have everything to do with it. See a doctor. Even if you don't enjoy a prescription for the codeine(not saying you don't, just saying if) afterwards you have to tell the doctor anyway..it's confidential. Good luck.
