How do I properly dispose of expired prescription?

I have a bottle of Tylenol that has expired with most of the product unused. How can I properly dispose of the remaining prescription? I already know that I shouldn't flush it down the toilet or pour the pills down a drain.

Usually you take it to your pharmacy, they mix it with a special gel which makes the product unusable - it cannot be ate, drunk, smoked, injected etc.. nearby is no possible way a drug addict can get glorious from it. However this is usually used for prescriptions and heavier class drugs such as methadone.

Tylenol is just paracetamol (acetaminophen) which means it is fine to just chuck it away near the rubbish (garbage/trash)
