Is it difficult to become a doctor?

Hey there.

I've heard through the grapevine that being a doctor doesn't pocket much intellectual. I've been told that I don't have to be a genius, but of late be very determined and hardworking. Is this true?

I'm a high school freshman, I really want to be a neurologist. I know this sounds far fetch, but I truly do. You'll believe me when I say that I'm most definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. Right very soon, I'm ranked like 8th in my class. That's pitiful, I know.

But if you within the medical field, I'd really appreciate it if you told me what it takes to become a doctor. Can you elaborate on the overall gist of the grades you get, your standardized test scores, what college you went to, and really, anything, would be TRULY appreciated.

Thank you especially much and have a wonderfully wonderful weekend.

i construe you have what it takes to become one. no doubt.
no it's not difficult it's just like anything else but if you're willing to spare 10+ years of your life span in school then this is for you. a friend have to get a 5 year BSc degree then hes within his 7th year of schooling and has 6 more years to go still he never has time to do anything but study so you must be loyal if you want to be a specialist that's another 4 years of school but in 10 years or so you'll be living like a millionaire
It's not as intellectually challenging as engineering or physics, but much more so than most careers. You don't own to be first in your class. You DO have to be able to assimilate huge amounts of information in short period of time, and be able to relate that information to clinical situations. There is also a celebration amount of common sense that you need, along with a desire to give a hand people.

In high school, you should be getting undemanding A's in difficult courses, and have time for outside activities.

It take a lot of heard work and determination to be a physician, but it takes that IN ADDITION to intelligence, gentle and innate desire to succeed.
