Not sure if you could say that there is a "best" specialty. It adjectives depends on what you like or what you are interested in. Theres a whole huge range of specialties if you would like to take a look at this detail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specialty_(medicine)#United_States . Keep in mind that the site is from wikipedia but it gives you a general perception ;) If you are talking about the most well salaried specialty then that is a diffrent question.
haha, there is no 'best' position or specialty, its just something you either know, or find out during medical university what specialty you want to pursue depending on your interests.
If your talking about salary/money then the best position is not contained by medicine because we don't want you.
Well, over the final year I decided that I want to become a doctor so I've been doing a lot of research on the specialties and what I might want to specialize surrounded by. Im pretty sure that I want to specialize in Internal Medicine. Its really a broad specialization with many sub-specialties such as cardiology, pulmonology, infectious diseases, and ect. Because its really broad it closes smaller amount doors for the future but I really like it because it challenges you to pretty much know everything something like the human body and overall making you becoming a skilled physician.
The one that suits YOUR character. So, the "best" field for me might be torture for you, and vice versa.
Agree that if you're in it for the $, go elsewhere. You are not looked-for in medicine. Source(s): I'm an anesthesiologist. You probably won't be.
