Have you hear of any doctor who happen to be a audible range impair?

Answers:
I worked with a audible range impaired anesthesiologist. He wore a special device that "heard" monitor alarms and vibrated to alert him.
I enjoy never personally experienced that situation, but I do not see anything wrong with that. No matter if they are audible range impaired or not, if they went through medical school after they are just as compatant as any other doctor. I am sure that there would be a sign lenguage interpreter in the room and some nation are even good enough to read lips. I in actuality have a collegue in one of my PhD classes and she is going to school for treatment and she is deaf, but she can read lips and she is going to be a therapist so I see nothing wrong near it as long as it does not impair their work. If it would bother you then you could always change doctors but if he is a board certfied physician next it is because they see him fit to practoce medacine and they do not let just anyone become a doctor it takes alot of tricky work. The question is, have he ever heard of you!
My doctor is deaf. She understands individuals by reading their lips and can speak almost perfectly.
Years ago I had a friend who was hearing impair and was in medical school. I lost track of him several years ago but I assume he finished and has been practicing medicine surrounded by the hearing impaired community for many years. He be amazing at lip reading and spoke with a nasal quality to his speech but was readily beneath stood. So if you are questioning whether you could become a physician if you are hearing impaired...the answer is an unqualified yes.
