When my father died, I go to the hospital morgue to look at him?

I don't know why. I just wanted to. He had a look of apprehension on his face. When rigamortis sets in, is it usual for a face to basically harden that way? His face looked completely surprised and scared out of your wits. And revulsed. Like he was seeing something horrible. His eyes had a surprised look too.

This is not the expression that your father had when he died. Rigor sets within the face also. It tends to leave an awful expression. Sorry you have to see this.
