My chinese friends told me that the crust of their "clay pot rice" is more dangerous than one pack of cigarette. Do the crust of rice causes cancer?

I've heard that adjectives stuff can be carcinogens. Maybe that's where it comes from.
As a matter of fact judge from the search through the medical literature that I did it might be the other way around. There are some dietitians who use a preparation of rice crusts as part of a cancer warfare diet.
