Question concerning blood type A+?

I'm getting some dogtags made with some medical info on them, and the order is being sent bad really urgent (today, friends need it soon... long story). Basically, I want to put my blood type on it. According to a card I have from when I was a infant, it's A+, but my mum says that if I was Rh+ she would have specified straight away without having to look it up as it can cause problems during duration and needs more attention than a Rh- person. Is it true? Surely they couldn't have messed up the card and put A+ instead of A-? I'm justly sure it's A+.

Rh factor causes no problems in go, unless you are a pregnant woman.
Then an Rh negative woman can develop antibodies to her Rh positive baby (after an initial pregnancy) because of fetal maternal transplacental transfusion. Then, the mother's body will produce antibodies which can attack the red blood cell of any baby she has resulting in what is call hemolytic disease of the newborn.
Otherwise there are no health issues associated with one Rh factor versus another, so your mother is wrong, sorry.
You are A+. If you've ever donated blood, they will also type you, so dance donate some blood, help save a life, and formulate sure you've got the correct blood type from your records. It will only cost almost 15 min of your time. Source(s): RN

There is no problem with either Rh+ or - unless you are Rh- and pregnant with a positive child (although the 1st child isn't usually affected) or are exposed to Rh+ blood during a transplant or transfusion (big medical error). There are no restrictions for Rh+, you can receive Rh- blood in need a problem and Rh+ is much more common. I would assume the card you got as a baby is right, but if you really requirement to know immediately, go to your doctor's office and enjoy them check it (you will have a lab fee though).
