With chest pains, why would my heart rate be on average 45?

I went to the er with chest pains & my blood pressure was100/52 & myheart rate stayed around 45.

any chance you are on beta-blockers? could be a heart block (an electrical problem of the heart) whick should show up on ekg. Are you an athlete?
