Which is worse to have- a stroke or a heart attack?
Why?
What are the symptoms of a stroke or a heart attack. My neighbor might have had one of these things.
Answers:
A stroke affects your brain and can leave you paralyzed and unable to speak. A heart attack affects your heart and it'll knock you down for a while as far as being competent to do things, but unless it causes a secondary compilcation, like a stroke, it merely affects your heart. You might need heart surgery, but a stroke would require BRAIN surgery. I'd rather have a heart attack than a stroke.
A stroke is cause by blockage of blood vessels in the brain, and the brain gets deprived of oxygen. Symptoms ebb and flow depending on how much brain tissue has been affected, and within what part of the brain. Symptoms often include a loss of feeling within part of the body, often down one side, and difficulty with speech.
A heart attack is cause by a blockage of blood vessels in the heart, causing the heart muscle to be deprived of oxygen. At the time you would surface pain in your chest and left arm. Afterwards the heart can't pump blood as trimly.
Both are very serious, I don't know if you could say which was worse. Depending on the severity, they can both be deadly, or can only be mild, and people can make a taking back. Source(s): Vet student.
i say a stroke is worse, given that you live through both. the stroke will start out you partly paralyzed, such as not being able to use your moved out side of your body, and have uncontrollable muscle spasms due to the lack of Oxygen contained by the brain. a heart attack is a clog in the arteries which a doc can have a plastic one put in.
I focus a stroke is worse... a stroke makes one whole side of your body numb and you can't do anything like walking or chitchat.
