It is a benzodiazapide. This class of drugs acts to increase inhibitory signals in the brain, giving an overall reduction within activity. Will create a state of reduced anxiety, and in higher doses drowsiness, induce sleep and at thoroughly high doses, anasthaesia.
A long-acting benzodiazepine used originally to treat seizure. Much longer duration of action than Xanax, Produces more drowsiness, and has a tendency to collect on you, making you ataxic and a bit stupid .
