What are the positives and negative for man a cardiologists?

Specialty choice is not something you arrive at based on positives and negative. Either you love it or you don't.

For me it would be mostly negative, because I like my patients knocked out cold, and I'm guessing that cardiologists hold to do a lot more talking to their patients than I have to near mine. They also form long term relationships with their patients - a positive for them, but something that I am not interested in. And they NEVER get hold of to stick big needles in people's spines - a very big negative for me.

Stenting those might be cool (something that invasive cardiologists do) - you can never go wrong with cannulating a large artery, IMHO.
