Thursday I go to a doctor look in and have blood drawn?
I asked the doctor how long it would take and what they were testing but adjectives she would tell me is They would call me when they got results. She be a horrible doctor and and once she contacts me and talks over what is happening I will change doctors. The department is not open saturday or sunday so when should I expect a call?
Answers:
Unless your doctors has a lab on site, the results will take a few days.
No news is dutiful news x
Some of the test take longer to do than others and if it needs to be sent to another location like a hospital location instead of the local clinic. I usually linger 1 business week and call. A lot of the time you can call and just own the nurse give you the results (the nurse might have to talk to the doctor beforehand giving you some of the results though).
You have a fundamental right to know what medical test are being performed and why. This doctor's "non-response" to your question is wrong and unprofessional.
I doubt you will receive a call unless something seriously abnormal is found on whatever test it was the doctor ordered. You should definitely call the bureau on Monday and insist they tell you: 1) what tests were ordered, 2) why they be ordered, and 3) what were the results. Also demand a copy of your records (this should include the ordered test, why they were ordered and the results) - again, you have a right to access (get a copy) of all of YOUR medical information.
Best wishes and apposite luck.
p.s. you definitely need to find a doctor that will respect you and work with you - the doctor works for you!
Depends on what they are testing for. Probably 3-4 working days, at the most.
