If it take 14 years to become a cardiologist, after how do you support your self beforehand you complete training?

i want to know how they support themselves while in training. Do they get paid during training or do they a moment ago work a job on the side
Answers:
During college & med school you literally live on loans. When residency or training starts, you get a modest "stipend" which is a opening that training programs can pay you a modest salary and protects them from having to salary overtime and that sort of thing. The loophole is that all residents are regarded as "students" as a result they are not allowed protection as are regular employess for the hospital. It's all a big scam to make sure hospitals are staffed 24/7 as cheaply as humanly possible. Residents own no bargaining chips because they know it's their only way to bring to way they want so it's a clever strategy by the world of medicine to keep residents working for peanuts. As a resdent I worked literally just about 100 hours per week and made, no joke around 34k. That's the God's honest truth.
