Can multiple sclerosis affect singular one side of the body? And do muscles make ineffective so they CANNOT be strengthened?
Answers:
MS can affect just one side of the body, but that's a fairly rare presentation. Muscle strength and handiness to change depends on the type of MS -- for example, with primary progressive, muscle damage tend to be cumulative and trying to build strength can actually cause more damage. In relapsing remitting types, in attendance are periods of strength & weakness given how the nervous system is react. Source(s): I work in Neuroscience.
