Losing control but not slightly faint?
Sometimes my body falls, but I'm conscious during the whole episode.
It begins when I start feeling watery and I breathing becomes difficult. Then for a second my muscles all let loose and my body collapses.
What is this call?
Answers:
Erm,,, that's syncope (fainting) without LOC (loss of concousness).
It could also be atonia, which is literally loss of muscle control( they all relax).
A number of possible causes are... cataplexy, Drop attacks. and TIA (transient ischaemic attack of carotid origin).
Has anyone witness this? It's possible that you have LOC without noticing. They maybe competent to shed some more light on the situation, the best person to go to would be your GP.
How long is the time course? how normally does it happen? Is it the case that you stand up feel dizzy and collapse? Much more info is needed!
