Can SSRIs motive SEVERE agitation?
Today was my first day taking Zoloft (for panic disorder, anxiety, depression and OCD), and I enjoy SEVERE agitation tonight. I can't go to sleep and can't stop thinking about horrible weird thoughts. I have a feeling like my brain has a mind of it's own, so to speak. I took .5 mg of Xanax to try to calm down & very soon I feel super dizzy and just out of it.
Could this just be the meds? Help I'm really freaking out.

Well your sedated because of the xanax specifically what that stuff does to you, it makes you tired and cals you down. Were you prescribed the xanax? Becase thats highly addictive and usually a last resort for doctors contained by anxiety situations. What your experiencing sounds to me like you were having a madness attack, it may have to do with the medication, I would call your doctor or pharmacist first entry in the morning and ask about it, but I dont think it be the meds because SSRI's like Zoloft take a while to get into your system and start working, close to when you start taking zolofy, t is a good month before you actually start to consistency any relief and any better from it. So thats why im not sure if I think it was the meds. So phone up your doctor, and unless you were prescribed the zoloft and xanax together then dont take them together thats perilous. Zoloft can cause anxiety and agitation as one of its side effects. It is recommended that you stop taking Zoloft if it cause agitation, weird thoughts, and other negative mental states.
